John Jay Hockey Makes State Final
The Indians beat St. Lawrence Central in the state Division 2 semifinals on Saturday in Utica.

The John Jay Indians continue their historic season tomorrow when they face the Christian Brothers Academy/Jamesville DeWitt team Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for the Division 2 championship in Utica.
In Saturday's "Frozen Four" semi-final, the Indians were behind 4-1 headed into the final period. The team scored five goals during the last eight minutes of play, taking the win from St. Lawrence Centralt, 6-4, according to Lohud.
Players were apparently shocked and thrilled.

“It was unbelievable to come out with a win like that,” John Jay forward Shawn Smith told the paper.
Shawn Smith and Jack Grimm each scored twice, and Lucas Prestamo and John Tobin contributed other goals, as reported by the John Jay Boosters club, which live blogged the game. For more photos and details of the semi-final, check their Facebook page.

The Katonah Lewisboro school district sent out a robocall and email notification to the school community Saturday afternoon announcing the win.
