Katonah Woman Arrives Home To Find Stranger Exiting Her House
As a precaution, Katonah Elementary School went into a lock-out and police were present at dismissal time.

KATONAH, NY — A troubling incident in a Westchester neighborhood triggered a multi-agency manhunt.
The Bedford Police Department says that it received a 911 call on Thursday, at 2:12 p.m., from a Katonah resident who told them that she came home and found a stranger leaving her residence before fleeing on foot.
Units from the Bedford Police Department's patrol and detective divisions responded to the scene and searched the surrounding area, with assistance from the Westchester County Police Aviation Unit.

Police also canvassed the neighborhood interviewing possible witnesses and gathering any available video surveillance.
After Katonah Elementary School was contacted and advised of the incident, a lock-out order was put into place by the school. In addition, police were present during dismissal as a precautionary measure.
