1. The Bedford school board meets

Tonight at 8 p.m., at Fox Lane Middle School, the school board meets together with the district administration. Click here for information.

2. Bedford candidates line up

Local Democrat and Republican candidates are beginning to prepare for runs for town offices. Lee Roberts will seek another term as town supervisor and Christopher Burdick and David Gabrielson will seek second terms as town board members. We'll have a preview of local races later this week.

3. Focus on birds at the Bronx Zoo

4. Joe Mantegna, 'Godfather' actor, director at Jacob Burns

The Jacob Burns Film Center will hold a screening of Norman Mailer: The American at 7:30 p.m. Mantegna directed the film and will field a Q&A after the screening. for details.
