State police confirmed that a 58-year-old man drowned Thursday afternoon in a backyard pool at a home on Todd Hill Road in Goldens Bridge.
The man, who rented a cottage adjacent to the main house on the property, was found by the landowner when she went to the pool around 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon, according to State Police Investigator Dedusevic.
"So far nothing looks suspicous, but we won't rule anything out," he said. "Tomorrow we should have more information after an autopsy is completed."
