3. A Children's Museum in Westchester

The Westchester Children’s Museum is currently awaiting a decision on a proposed $1 a year, 10-year lease at Playland’s Historic Bathhouses. If approved, construction of the museum could begin sometime this year and the museum could open as soon as 2012. Hooray! We love Stepping Stones in Norwalk, but having one in our own backyard would be great. Check back later this morning for the full story.

4. Dumpster Days for an Eagle Scout Project

Start cleaning out your basement for a weekend dumpster day. On Saturday and Sunday For $35 a car you can spring clean, and support a local Eagle Scout who plans to build a trail connecting Fox Valley Park and Increase Miller Elementary School in Goldens Bridge. what you can and cannot bring.

5. Reminder: transportation requests for non-public schools due Friday

New York State Education Law mandates that a written request for transportation to a non-public school be filed each year no later than April 1st to be eligible for transportation the following year.
