Overturned Semi Blocks Northbound Lanes On I-684, Injuries Reported
Emergency crews were on the scene throughout the morning. Traffic was backed up in both directions with northbound lanes closed for hours.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — An overturned tractor trailer completely blocked the northbound lanes of I-684 in Katonah for hours on Wednesday.
The crash with injuries left an overturned truck closing the highway to traffic on I-684 northbound at Exit 6 - NY 35 - Katonah - Cross River (Bedford). The northbound lanes and exit ramp remained blocked at mile marker 17.7 until afternoon, according to the NYSDOT.
Around 8:00 a.m., Katonah Fire Department, Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Westchester EMS, New York State Police and the Bedford Police Department responded to the scene.

According to initial reports, at least three people were hurt in the crash with one person being ejected from a vehicle. The injured were taken to the Westchester County Medical Trauma Center.

As of 9 a.m., northbound traffic was still being diverted ahead of the accident and the cleanup and accident investigation continued through the early afternoon.
