Police Identify 39-Year-Old Killed In Rte 22 Motorcycle Crash

NORTH CASTLE, NY — Authorities have released the identity of the motorcycle rider killed in last week's crash on Rte 22 in Westchester County.

On Thursday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the North Castle Police Department began receiving emergency 911 calls reporting a serious motor vehicle accident on northbound Route 22, between Route 120 and Old Orchard Street.

The first officers on the scene found three vehicles involved in the crash, one of which was a motorcycle. The motorcycle operator, Brandon Plunkett, a 39-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries.

Other passengers and drivers involved in the crash were also injured, but police said these injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Officials said the accident remains under investigation.
