Police: Speeder Arrested for Driving 72 mph on Route 35
An Ossining man was pulled over for driving too fast.

Bedford police arrested an Ossining man for speeding on Route 35. Julio Tamay, 38, was stopped on Mt. Holly Road in Katonah on April 9 after police observed his speeding car and clocked it at 72 mph in a 40 mph zone. A computer check of Tamay's license showed suspended driving privileges.
Tamay, an Ossining resident, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car, and operating a car by an unlicensed driver and speeding. He was released on $100 bail pending a return to town court on April 28.

Matthew Boutross, 23, was observed driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone on Cherry Street, say police. After a computer check revealed that Boutross was driving with a suspended license, police arrested him and charged him with speeding and third-degree unlicensed operation of a car. He was released oon $50 bail pending an appearance in town court.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on April 9 around 2 a.m. after crossing the double yellow lines on Route 117 in Bedford Hills, say police.
The Mt. Kisco resident failed to stop at a red light on Route 117, and made a right turn onto Harris Road, where he was stopped by police. After failing field sobriety tests, the youth was brought back to police headquarters wehre he took a breathalyzer test that revealed a .14 BAC level. He was charged with failure to keep right, DWI over .08 BAC, consumption of alcoholic beverages in a car, operating a car by an unlicensed driver. The youth, who works in Chappaqua, was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in Bedford town court.
Youth arrested for weapon possession
A Bedford youth, age 18, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing after threatening a fellow resident at the Abbott House, say police. The incident took place on April 1 a the residential group home. The youth was remanded to Westchester County Jail.
