Traffic Alert: Bedford Center Road Will Be Closed For Paving This Week

The Town of Bedford said the closure will take place for three days this week, during daytime hours, starting before the morning commute.

BEDFORD, NY — Time is running out to experience warm weather rites of passage, like trips to the pool and beach, but this week, there will be at least one more chance to navigate summertime roadwork.

The Town of Bedford Department of Public Works announced that Bedford Center Road will be closed for paving between Buxton Road and Canitoe St. (Route 22). The closures will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week, between 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The schedule may change due to weather or equipment availability.

Any questions of concerns should be directed to the Bedford DPW at 914-666-7669. Alternate routes will need to be used and can be viewed by signing up for Nixle alerts.

A full list of roads scheduled to be repaved in 2022 can be found here. This list may change due to asphalt prices, subsurface conditions and the contractor's schedule. Any roads not completed in 2022 will be scheduled for next year.
