Trailer Of Landscaping Equipment Stolen In Katonah, Found 2 Hours Away
A search warrant on a Hudson Valley property and a suspect car was executed on Thursday evening "with better than expected results."

BEDFORD, NY — An investigation into a missing landscaping trailer led to the discovery of a cache of stolen equipment and drugs, according to police.
The Bedford Police Department says that on October 16, in the early morning hours, a landscaping trailer full of equipment was stolen from a property in Katonah.
Bedford detectives immediately began an investigation into the theft. Using video provided by members of the community and license plate reader technology, they identified a suspect vehicle.

With additional leads, detectives were led to Fallsburg, which is about two hours away in Sullivan County.
Teaming up with the Fallsburg Police Department, on Tuesday of last week, Bedford detectives located the suspect vehicle on a wooded property.

A search warrant of the property and the suspect car was executed Thursday evening "with better than expected results."
In addition to finding the stolen trailer from Katonah, Bedford and Fallsburg officers also found several additional trailers, landscaping equipment, recreational and farming equipment that were stolen or believed to be stolen and not reported yet, as well as narcotics.
Fallsburg police arrested a man and charged him with felony fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and felony second degree criminal possession of stolen property.
"A special thank you to the Fallsburg Police Department for their great teamwork and hospitality while our Detectives were up there," the Bedford Police Department said on social media.
