Truck Fire on I-684 S Stops Traffic From Exit 8

A truck driver on I-684 jumped out of his cab at approximately 8:30 a.m. when he noticed flames coming from the front of his truck.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, according to state police who responded to the scene.

There were no explosions and no injuries. Traffic was stopped for over an hour and is still moving slowly while the highway is reduced to two southbound lanes. Cleanup is in progress.
