14-Year-Old Dies After Nassau E-Bike Crash: PD

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — A 14-year-old died after an e-bike crash on Thursday at 7:05 a.m. in North Bellmore, police said.

According to Nassau County police, he male teenager was operating the e-bike westbound on Alice Avenue crossing Bellmore Avenue, when he was hit by a 2025 Chevy SUV, police said.

The SUV was operated by a 45-year-old female traveling southbound on Bellmore Avenue, and she remained at the scene, police said.

The teenager suffered severe body trauma and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
