American Flags in disrepair hanging on utility poles

There are any number of American Flags that were put up along utility poles after the last Presidential election in the middle of the night across Long Island. I imagine they were put up to show patriotism and support for the candidate they supported.

These flags are for the most part in a state of disrepair and show disrespect for our country that the people who put them up have not maintained them. It shows no patriotism having an American flag in the condition these flags are in.

If you do not know what to do, bring them to the VFW at: 2400 Bedford Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710

They will retire these flags with respect. They have a mail box out front for old American Flags.

Flying a American Flag can be a respectful way to show your pride and patriotism. Flying the flag in the current state of disrepair these flags are in shows no patriotism and shows no pride in being an American.
