Bellmore Gears Up for Cinco de Mayo

Local businesses will participate in the holiday.

Bellmore businesses are gearing up to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Saturday.

Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May, is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862. Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day.

Bellmore's Texicana Grill will offer some specials in honor of the holiday.

Make Your Own Taco Party- Make your own hard or soft tacos with either grilled chicken or beef and vegetables with all sides:

15 tacos- $24.99
30 tacos- $49.99
45 tacos-$74.99
60 tacos- $99.99

East Meadow's  Moe's Southwest Grill will give the first 150 customers that show up on Saturday a free t-shirt. Although the business will open its doors at 11 a.m., one employee said that customers need to arrive early.
