Christmas Day Fire Displaces Family Of 4: FD
Fire marshals say approximately 75 firefighters were on scene.
BELLMORE, NY — A Bellmore house fire on Christmas Day has displaced a family of four, fire marshals said.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said the two-story house on Skipper Court was deemed not habitable due to utilities being turned off.
The Bellmore Fire Department received a call for a house fire on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., fire marshals said.

The fire was in the living room and was brought under control within 30 minutes, fire marshals say.
Fire marshals said the Bellmore FD was assisted by mutual aid fire departments from North Bellmore, North Merrick, Merrick, Wantagh, and East Meadow, with approximately 75 firefighters on scene.

No injuries were reported and occupants, two adults and two children, self-evacuated, fire marshals say.
The fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad, fire marshals said.
