Bellmore/Merrick Students Get Academic Field Trip To Various Workshops
John F. Kennedy High School is hosting the event on Nov. 8.
BELLMORE, NY — While many will be voting, students at John F. Kennedy High School will have a different experience on Election Day.
The school is "sending" its students on an academic field trip in four breakout workouts.
Students have a variety of options to choose from, with 11th- and 12th-grade leadership putting the schedule together.

Workshops are as varied as Baking Holiday Treats and Careers in Special Education.
All workshops are designed by teachers, staff and administration based on background and interest.

Dozens of special programs will be offered including Medical Scrabble, Passport to Italy, How to Build a Healthier diet and Critical Life Lessons from the Godfather Movies.
It will take place on the school grounds from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 8.
