BELLMORE, NY — A Kennedy High School senior is among 15 students on Long Island who qualified for the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair.
The fair takes place through May 11 in Los Angeles.
Ava Goldsmith, a three-year advanced science research student, secured her spot by earning first place in the 2024 Long Island Science and Engineering Fair in the Cell and Microbiology category.

Goldsmith's research project explores the implications of breast cancer therapy with a focus on a cancer-promoting network known as the "epichaperome."
