Bellmore Woman Named Finalist in KJOY Contest
Joyce Goldsmith of Bellmore was named a finalist in the KJOY Backyard Barbecue Contest. Voting ends on Thursday.

Joyce Goldsmith of Bellmore has been named a finalist in the KJOY Backyard Barbecue Contest.
Goldsmith, put her business on hold a few years ago to take care of her father who has Alzheimer's.
"This contest has given me hope all summer-long. I'm a full time caregiver for my father who has Alzheimer's. I adore my Dad, but I have very little time for anything else. I would love to see all my friends again," Goldsmith told KJOY.
Goldsmith said that she and her husband will be celebrating their 35th anniversary on Sept. 2 and that a barbecue with their friends will be the "greatest gift of all."
The winner of the contest will have a big barbecue thrown at their house by KJOY. Representatives from the radio station will go to the winner's home, cook food for 25 people and provide beverages from Honest Tea.
A new grill will be brought to the winner's home and each winner will receive ice cream and tickets to an upcoming New York Mets game, courtesy of Carvel Ice Cream.
Voting for the winners ends on Thursday. Cast your vote here.
