LI Worker Electrocuted, Airlifted With Burns: Police

A second victim was hospitalized after trying to assist the other man, police said.

BELLMORE, NY — A man was electrocuted while in Bellmore on Friday morning, police said.

The 62-year-old man was working on Newbridge Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. when he was electrocuted, causing burns to his arm and stomach. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

A 39-year-old man was also hospitalized with burns to his arm while trying to help the other man.

Both victims are in stable condition.

Police are investigating.
