Flooded Streets Around Bellmore
Let neighbors know which roads to avoid this morning.
Monday morning's storm pounded the Bellmores, leaving streets flooded. Upload a photo or leave a comment to let us know if your street is flooded.
According to Legis. Dave Denenberg, if you have flooding issues, call the Nassau County Public Works Department 571-9600 (for streets such as Merrick Avenue, Merrick Road, City Avenue, Bellmore Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, and Newbridge Road as well as any county-owned ponds, streams and creeks.)
For Flooding on town streets, you should contact the Town of Hempstead Highway Department at 489-5000 during regular business hours or contact the Department of Public Safety after hours at 538-1900.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms will continue through 4 p.m. in Bellmore. A flood advisory and severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for the area.
