Former My Candi Property Remains Vacant

Bedford Avenue is the home of thriving businesses, but some storefronts have shuttered in the past year.
The former My Candi building at 317 Bedford Ave. has remained vacant for months.
Shortly after opening in late 2009, owner Dave Mayo described his business as a "homey version of Dylan's Candy Bar," the famously-hip New York City candy emporium.
Nancy Moniodes, owner of Nancy The Cupcake Lady, said that she would love to see a clothing store open in the property.
"I think a younger children clothing store will be good," she said. "I would like to see a place with clothes that change for the season. There are so many kids in this town."
