Going To The Dogs: Bellmore Baker Holds Ice Cream Social For Pets

BELLMORE, NY — It's not only important for humans to stay cool in the heat, our pets are a concern as well.

Three Dog Bakery of Bellmore is thinking about our dogs as National Ice Cream Day approaches.

The eatery, specializing in treats for canines, will hold a Ice Cream Social on July 16.

Furry friends will congregate to enjoy sundaes with such flavors as Puppy Tracks, Maple Bacon Pancake, Strawberry Pawfait and Wagamelon.

The event, which starts at 11 a.m., is $6.50 per dog.

Three Dog Bakery's dairy-free ice cream has a grain-free, whey-protein base that has a consistency like cake frosting.

Co-owners Gloria Ma and her husband, John opened the franchise on Bedford Avenue in January.
