Jets Coach Dons 'Mepham' Shirt In Honor Of Sofia LaSpina
The junior wide receiver is the first female to score a touchdown on Long Island.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — The accolades for Mepham High School's Sofia LaSpina are just getting started. The standout wide receiver, who became the first-ever female to score a touchdown in a Long Island high school game, is getting more praise from the New York Jets.
Head coach Robert Saleh at his Friday press conference wore a Mepham t-shirt to honor her historic achievement.

LaSpina was already named the Jets High School Player of the Week.
