Kennedy Comes in Third in College Challenge

Kennedy High School came in third place out of 35 high schools in Nassau and Suffolk counties in the Protein Modeling Challenge at Stony Brook University.

The competition required students to build a molecular model in advance, build a second model on-site during the event, and complete a written exam.

The team spent hours after school researching, modeling, and studying the details of a receptor protein which is critical in cancer research and treatment.
