Man Burglarized More Than A Dozen Nassau Businesses: Police
Police say the Queens man burglarized more than a dozen different businesses around Nassau County since July.

BELLMORE, NY — Nassau County police arrested a man Wednesday night who they say is responsible for more than a dozen burglaries across the county.
According to police, officers received a call for a suspicious person on the roof of a jewelry store on Bedford Avenue in Bellmore, but the man fled before officers arrived. But police say the officers located him and arrested him without incident at 11:10 p.m.
Police say an investigation found that the man — Sean Smith, 40, of Bedell Street, Queens — was responsible for more than a dozen burglaries throughout the county:

Smith is charged with 13 counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of third-degree attempted burglary. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
