Mepham Heads To County Title Game; Seeks 1st Championship In 70 Years

Unbeaten Garden City takes on Mepham Friday night.

BELLMORE, NY — The Mepham High School football team advanced to the County Championship.

The Pirates shut out Long Beach, 14-0, to secure a spot in Friday's night title game.

Second-seed Mepham has a tough task with Garden City. Not only are they a perfect 10-0, but Garden City is the six-time defending champ, Newsday said.
