New Portuguese Chicken Eatery Takes Over Zorn's Bellmore Location

BELLMORE, NY — While chicken is still on the menu at the former Zorn location in Bellmore, the new restaurant Cookoo Rico, has favorites with a new twist.

Cookoo Rico declares itself as the "Home of Portuguese Charcoal Chicken."

There are still family packs of fried and rotisserie chicken, customers will also find quesadillas and Portuguese burritos, called embrulhoes.

If the establishment looks familiar to Chimichurri Charcoal Chicken, a kosher eatery with three locations, including Cedarhurst and Oceanside, it's because they share the owners, Newsday reported.

This is not a kosher restaurant, though.

Cookoo Rico is located at 2495 Merrick Rd.
