Students from the Reinhard Early Childhood Center recently celebrated Cinco de Mayo.
In honor of the Mexican holiday, students created Mexican flags, played BINGO in Spanish, read short stories and snacked on chips and salsa.
As a special project for the first graders, the students created homemade serapes that they constructed out of paper bags in art classes and wore on the day of their celebration.
The celebration was coordinated by language instructor Lisa Goldberg.
