Reinhard Teachers Play Cast of 'SpongeBob SquarePants' At Pep Rally

BELLMORE, NY – Teachers and staff at Bellmore School District’s Reinhard Early Childhood Center dressed as “SpongeBob SquarePants” characters at the annual pep rally on Oct. 10.

The students’ excitement was heard as they cheered on their teachers, a release from the district said.

Teachers created an original story, “SpongeBob and the Leadership Adventure,” and performed it in the auditorium. Elia DeBlasio, physical education teacher, took on the lead as SpongeBob. There were more than 20 teachers on stage, including David Reilly as Patrick, Kate King as Squidward, and Jen Siano as Plankton.

The story’s characters — residents of “Reinhard Bottom” — worked together to recover the stolen King Neptune’s crown and Special Leadership Star. On the road to retrieving the items from Plankton, the characters learned lessons that are related to Bellmore’s core values and leadership principles, including respect, dedication, and being proactive, the district said.

Students in the audience sang along to the songs led by music teacher Joanna Rocco.
