SIBSPlace Hosts Annual ‘Rock for SIBS’ Benefit Concert
Fundraiser to support SIBSPlace programs that benefit LI children and families

SIBSPlace recently hosted their 5th ‘Rock for SIBS’ benefit concert on Friday, April 21 at the Bellmore Playhouse. The fundraiser featured two local bands, Trainwreck and Live Vinyl, and welcomed over 80 guests. The event raised over $25,000 with all proceeds from the event going toward funding SIBSPlace programs that provide essential mental health and support services for children and families who have a sibling or parent/caregiver with cancer or a devastating illness, as well as children coping with the death of a loved one.
Attendees enjoyed three hours of live music, raffles, giveaways, food and drinks.
SIBSPlace, an affiliate of Mount Sinai South Nassau, is a free nonprofit organization that provides prevention based mental health services to children ages 5-17 who have a sibling or parent diagnosed with cancer or another devastating medical illness. The organization also offers grief support and counseling for those who have lost a family member.
