Swatting Threat Sends Newbridge Road School In To Lockdown: Police

BELLMORE, NY — A threat to the Newbridge Road School caused a lockdown late Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.

A 911 call was received by police at 11:23 a.m. saying a man had a gun and there were possible shots fired at Newbridge Road Elementary School, authorities said.

Following a comprehensive search, it was determined that the threat was a swatting incident and the call was unfounded, police said.
