Violent Driver Injures Cop During Nassau Traffic Stop: Police

It happened Saturday afternoon on Bellmore Road.​

NORTH BELLMORE, NY —An East Meadow man was stopped by police, who were on routine patrol over the weekend, for driving with an unauthorized registration, authorities said.

It happened Saturday afternoon on Bellmore Road.

Jaden Paftinos, 20, refused multiple orders by officers and he became physical, resulting in him being placed in custody, police said.

One officer was hospitalized as Paftinos got violent and combative while resisting arrest, police said.

Paftinos is charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and resisting arrest. He was due to be arraigned on Saturday.
