WATCH: Man Robbed Bellmore 7-Eleven at Gunpoint

The man pointed a gun at a clerk, who insisted he would have to pay for beer he stole the week before, police said.

Nassau Police released two surveillance videos of a man they say robbed a Bellmore store at gunpoint early Monday.

At 2:41 a.m., the man took a 12-pack of beer and approached a counter at 7-Eleven, located at 2800 Sunrise Highway, police said.

The clerk, who recognized the man as one who had stolen beer the previous week, told him he had to pay for the beer he took, cops said.

The man then pointed a black handgun at the clerk before fleeing the store with the 12-pack, police said. He was seen heading south on Bellmore Avenue and getting into the passenger side of an unknown car, cops said.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Officials said the man was in his 20s, 6-foot, 300 pounds, and had a mustache. He was wearing blue shorts, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue baseball hat, black sneakers, and white socks at the time, cops said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
