Brentwood School Budget Vote Tuesday: What You Need To Know

Long Island residents are voting on 2025-2026 school budgets. Here's everything you need to know before casting your vote in Brentwood.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Residents will decide on the Brentwood Union Free School District budget on Tuesday, May 20, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The final proposed 2025-2026 budget is $688,525,221, a 14.1 percent increase from last year's budget of $603,274,281.

This year's tax levy stands at an increase of 1 percent, from $114,358,027 to $115,501,607.

Brentwood residents who have lived in the district for at least 30 days, who are U.S. citizens 18 years of age or older and who are currently and properly registered may vote.

Voting takes place at multiple schools, including: Hemlock Park at 19 Hemlock Drive; Laurel Park at 48 Swan Pl.; Loretta Park at 77 Stahley St.; North Elementary at 50 W. White St.; Northeast Elementary at 2 Devon Rd.; Oak Park at775 Wisconsin Ave.; Pine Park at 1 Mur Pl.; Southeast Elementary at 1 Melody Lane); and Southwest Elementary at 1095 Joselson Ave.
