Central Islip High Choir Performs At Queen's College
Central Islip High School's concert choir performed at Queens College for a high school choral festival.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Central Islip High School's concert choir performed at Queens College for a high school choral festival on Nov. 8.
Over 60 students traveled to campus to attend a full day of music. Brentwood High School, Flushing High School, and LaGuardia High School joined the CIHS students.
Assistant professor Dr. Morgan Jolley led the schools through a warmup before each school split up to tour the campus, led by Queens College music students.

After the tour, students participated in a clinic led by Jolley, who shared a wealth of knowledge. The students were also treated to a performance by a Queens College choral class before taking the stage for school-specific performances.
Also in attendance were Central Islip's high school music teacher Theresa O'Connor and Philip K. Voigt, director of music education and technology.
