Central Islip's 2025-26 School Budget Results Are In
See whether the Central Islip Union Free School District's budget passed this year after residents across Long Island voted on Tuesday.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Central Islip Union Free School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2025-26 school budget by a margin of 695 yes votes to 238 no votes.
The district's budget is $301,498,985, up 2.54 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $94,438,632, up 1.89 percent.
Board of Education incumbent Glenn Mitchell was reelected with 639 votes and incumbent Luis Alcantara was reelected with 578 votes.
