Child Injured After Brentwood House Fire: Report

BRENTWOOD, NY — A child was injured after a Brentwood home caught fire on Sunday, News12 reported.

Firefighters responded to the fire at Fairdale Drive just before 12:30 p.m, Suffolk County Police confirmed with Patch.

Nine residents — including a child — were inside the home at the time, News12 said.

The Brentwood Fire Department, assisted by the Islip Fire, Central Islip, Commack, Bay Shore, Islip, West Islip, and East Brentwood departments, managed to contain the fire just after 1:30 p.m, News12 and a social media post said.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital, News12 said. Police confirmed that one person was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, but could not confirm that they were a child.
