Fireworks Seized, $14K Cash Recovered In Brentwood Arrests: Police
Police said officers launched an investigation after social media posts prompted concerns about illegal fireworks sales in Brentwood.
BRENTWOOD, NY — Suffolk County police arrested two employees of a Brentwood business Wednesday afternoon after an investigation into illegal fireworks sales, police said.
Officers from the Third Precinct Investigative Unit began investigating social media posts connected to a Billiards Jesse John Bilar account. The investigation led officers to Billiards Jesse John Bilar, located at 480 Suffolk Ave., where employees were allegedly selling fireworks to customers, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Yury Viviana Mendozasanguna, 42, of Brentwood, and Giovanni Tragodara, 44, also of Brentwood, were arrested at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday. Both were charged with unlawfully selling fireworks.

Police said the two were issued desk appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
During the investigation, officers confiscated a large quantity of fireworks and more than $14,000 in cash from the business, police said.
