'A Great Man': Funeral Services Set For Beloved Brentwood Firefighter

BRENTWOOD, NY — Funeral services have been set for a beloved and dedicated fireman, community member and former East Brentwood Fire Department chief, officials announced on Friday.

Paul Larsen, a 51-year member of the fire department, passed away on Feb 26. He was 69.

Officials announced his passing on social media, writing:

"It is with deep sadness and regret that the Chief’s office announces the passing of Ex-Chief and Ex-Commissioner Paul Larsen. Please keep the Larsen family in your thoughts and prayers."

On Thursday, the fire department announced services for Larsen.

According to the department and Larsen's obituary, visitors will be received on Monday, March 10, from 5 to 9 p.m. Firematic services will take place that evening at the funeral home.

Commemoration will continue on Tuesday, March 11, with final farewells at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Larsen will be interred at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
