Man Killed in Crash on LIE Service Road
A 22-year-old man was killed in the single-car crash Sunday afternoon.

BRENTWOOD, NY – A 22-year-old man was killed in single-car crash on a Long Island Expressway service road Sunday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Luis Gonzalez Escobar was traveling east in a 2007 Scion on Express Drive South near Brentwood Parkway in Brentwood when he lost control of his vehicle, which then struck a utility pole and overturned at about 2:45 p.m.
Gonzalez Escobar, of Medford, was transported by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
