Man Robs Central Islip Bank, Threatens Teller: Police
This is the second time the bank was robbed in one-month.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help to locate a man who robbed a Central Islip bank on Thursday.
At about 9:24 a.m., a man entered Bethpage Federal Credit Union, located at 233 South Research Place, and handed a teller a note demanding cash and threatening violence, police said.
The teller complied with the man’s demands, and the man fled the bank on foot, police said.

The man was described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was wearing a blue surgical mask, sunglasses, light-colored pants and a baseball hat.
This is the second time the bank was robbed within a one-month period. On May 30, a man also passed a note to a teller, demanding cash, police said. The man remains at large.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
