Bicyclist Killed, Struck By 2 Cars In Hit-And-Run CI Crash: Police
The man was struck by 2 separate cars, police say.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A man is dead after two cars struck his bicycle and fled in Central Islip, Suffolk County Police said.
Felix Cesi Oliva Cruz, 65, of Bay Shore, was riding a bicycle northbound across East Suffolk Avenue at Lowell Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. when he was struck by two eastbound vehicles, a dark-colored small SUV and a white sedan, police said.
Both vehicles fled the scene eastbound on East Suffolk Avenue.

Oliva Cruz was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Lowell Avenue was temporarily blocked off by law enforcement but has since been reopened.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852- 6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
