Town of Islip 2nd Half Property Taxes Due Soon
Town of Islip officials announced to local taxpayers that second half property taxes are due soon. There's several ways to pay, here's how.
ISLIP, NY — It's property tax time for Town of Islip residents.
In a statement on Tuesday, Islip Town Receiver of Taxes Andy Wittman announced that the second half of property taxes are due, on or before May 31.
He said the latest resident can pay at his office is Monday, June 2.

"After that date, taxes plus penalty and interest must be paid to the Suffolk County Comptroller’s Office in Riverhead," Wittman said in a statement.
Wittman's regular office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. with extended hours on Monday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for in-person payments. The office will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. The office is located at 40 Nassau Ave. in Islip.

Wittman said residents can pay in person at the office, pay online, or mail in a payment. To avoid a penalty, all mailed payments must be postmarked by the U.S. Post Office no later than Jan. 10, 2025.
