Where To See Santa In Central Islip

Fire department volunteers are taking care of it.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — There's a lot to do during the holidays around Central Islip and Brentwood, but one thing is often at the top of the list: seeing Santa.

Kids in Central Islip are in luck: The Central Islip Fire Department is bringing back its tree lighting event, and the 2nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony also includes a parade, fun, food — and Santa.

  • 5:30 p.m. - Andrew T. Morrow School
  • 5:40 p.m. - Walmart Islandia Shopping Center
  • 5:50 p.m. - Reed School
  • 5:55 p.m. - Mulligan School
  • 6:10 p.m. - O'Neill School
  • 6:20 p.m. - Target Shopping Center

Remember, it can take time to get around. Listen for the trucks or follow the route around town live on Facebook.

The tree lighting itself will be at 6:30 p.m. at CIFD Station 2 at 110 Wheeler Road, along with caroling, crafts and tasty treats.
