Bronxville Adult School Gets New Leader
The new executive director has extensive non-profit management experience.

The Bronxville Adult Schools has a new chief this morning. Celia Cuce of Harrison has been appointed to the executive director position. The school is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Here is more information on the appointment from the school.
Celia Cuce has been appointed the new Executive Director of the Bronxville Adult School by its Board of Trustees, replacing Barbara Corcoran Begert who has moved to a new position at the New York Botanic Garden.
Cuce, a resident of Harrison, comes to the School with a business and human services background. She has extensive non-profit management experience, most recently with the Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, where she was the Assistant Executive Director.
“I have long admired the Bronxville Adult School – it has a stellar reputation that reaches beyond the Bronxville borders – and am thrilled to be joining this team,” stated Cuce. “I look forward to meeting students, instructors and local businesses and organizations and invite them to contact me with suggestions and questions.”
“We are very excited to have Celia Cuce as our new Executive Director,” said Chris Zufelt, Chair of the School’s Board of Trustees. “Celia’s credentials are outstanding and she brings a wealth of relevant experience and enthusiasm to the position.”
“The Bronxville Adult School, currently celebrating its 70th anniversary, is in an excellent place, thanks to Barbara Corcoran Begert’s fine work, and we are now poised to take off for even greater things under Celia’s direction.”
The Bronxville Adult School is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Recognizing the importance of life-long learning, the School is open to all adults in Bronxville and surrounding communities in Southern Westchester and offers courses in personal growth, life-enhancing skills and cultural, intellectual and recreational endeavors at a nominal cost.
