Harry A. Fontana, 87, of Saugerties, NY, formerly of Yonkers, NY, beloved husband of the late Grace (DeMichaels) Fontana, passed away on May 30, 2024. Born on November 9, 1936 in Pelham Manor, NY, he was the son of the late Mario Gaetano and Soave (Muratori) Fontana.
A Bronx Boy at heart, Harry married the love of his life in August of 1958 and together they raised their family in Yonkers, and spent precious time amongst the majestic beauty of Lake Placid, his favorite place in the world. His true passion lay in the great outdoors, where he found peace and tranquility amidst the towering pines and crystal-clear waters of the Adirondacks. Whether he was hunting game in the crisp autumn air or chopping firewood, Harry felt most alive when surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Harry and his family shared countless memories of laughter, love, and adventure at the Cold River Ranch. He also had a particular fondness for Italian pastries and muffins that were "dunk friendly" for his morning coffee, but above all else, Harry cherished his family.
