Renowned Pianist in Bronxville

Thanks to West Center Congregational Church for letting us know about their upcoming concert.

Pianist Raj Bhimani will perform in the sanctuary at West Center Congregational Church, 101 Pondfield Road West, Bronxville, on Sunday, March 10 at 2 PM.  The critically acclaimed Mr. Bhimani will be performing the complete 24 Preludes by Frederic Chopin and Sonatine by Maurice Ravel, a work that his piano teacher in Paris studied with the composer.

Mr. Bhimani performs in concert regularly in the United States, Europe, Canada and India and played recently in New York at Merkin Concert Hall and St. Paul's Chapel.  He performed for the third time at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts this past season and has been invited back for the 2012-2013 season.  He has released four albums of piano music that are available on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon.  Mr. Bhimani plays a wide range of repertoire with particular expertise in French piano literature and is a champion of new music.  He also has an excellent reputation as an educator and has a private teaching studio in Manhattan.

West Center Church just celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of its Sunday School and is noted for its beautiful stained glass windows and its excellent acoustics.
