Tuckahoe Police Reduction-Court Consolidation Discussion

The Tuckahoe Citizens Budget Advisory Committee is suggesting that the Village downsize four police officers and eliminate the Village Court.

There are going to be a lot of important discussions happening at the Village of Tuckahoe Board of Trustees meeting tonight. Citizens Budget Advisory Committee Chair David Scalzo says his newly formed committee will present three suggestions to the Tuckahoe Board of Trustees at tonight's 8 p.m. meeting.

"Among its findings are that the CBAC recommends eliminating the Village Court and consolidating it with the Eastchester Town Court, reducing the police force from 24 officers to 20 officers and modernizing employee benefits for non-CBA employees," said Scalzo.
