BROOKLYN, NY — New York Road Runners will host a half-marathon pre-party beginning Wednesday in anticipation of the 2024 RBC Brooklyn Half Marathon on May 18. The pre-party will run til May 17 and will be held at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2. The event, presented by New Balance, is free and open to the public and will feature live music and local food trucks. Runners will have the chance to pick up their bibs, shop for merchandise, learn about course strategy from NYRR coaches among other things. Over 26,000 runners will be running on the 13.1-mile course on Saturday, May 18. Runners will go by Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park, and the Coney Island boardwalk. The RBC Brooklyn Half Marathon will start at 7 a.m. at the Brooklyn Museum. In addition, children from 2-18 will have the chance to participate in Boardwalk Kids Run at the Coney Island boardwalk.
