Perloff, 41, was riding his electric stand-up scooter west on Fillmore Avenue when he was struck by a 2015 Toyota Sienna traveling north on East 38th Street in Marine Park around 11:51 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Police said the crash propelled Perloff into the Sienna and then into a parked Chrysler minivan. He was taken to Mount Sinai Brooklyn, where he later died.

The Sienna driver, 70, remained on scene and was not injured.

No arrests have been made in the case.

"Melissa and the girls are now facing an unimaginable future without him. In the midst of profound grief, they are also navigating the sudden financial burden left behind," the GoFundme continued. "The weight of funeral expenses, daily living costs, and providing stability for Maya and Leya during this heartbreaking time is overwhelming."

The fundraiser notes that every contribution will assist the Perloff family in coping with immediate expenses, allowing them time to grieve and begin moving forward without the weight of financial stress.
